NJC Internships

Future NJC Internship Session Dates and Deadlines:

Summer 2008:  May 19-August 8, 2008... Applications accepted on a rolling basis

Fall 2008:  August 25-November 14, 2008... Deadline July 1, 2008.

NOTE:  Many media outlets in Washington require taking the internship for college credit.  These placements also have earlier application deadlines.  If you are interested in receiving college credit for your internship, please apply four weeks in advance of the listed deadline.

NJC Application (Snail Mail)

The National Journalism Center is a 12-week program that combines weekly seminars, assigned reporting drills, and working journalism through internships with newspapers, magazines, broadcast outlets, and other media outlets. The Center will work with interested students to arrange for academic credit. Please complete this online application, and then e-mail, fax or mail the following supplemental materials: cover letter, resume, 2-3 writing samples and 3 references.
